Beijing Olympic Sports Center Stadium will be used for the opening ceremony and final games of the Great Wall Cup of Beijing tournament. This space-age facility received a miraculous make-over for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, as it's serving as a venue for the modern pentathlon. The stadium rennovation increased capacity to 40,000 spectators. The Olympic Sports Center Stadium is well equipped with broadcast speakers, color screen LEDs, functional rooms and everything required for a good stadium. After the Olympics, the stadium is slated to be used for track and field as well as football, but is also suitable for a number of other sports.
Beijing Olympic Sports Center Football Center
The first-ever Great Wall Cup of Beijing international youth football tournament will be held at Beijing Olympic Sports Center Football center. The center was built in 1990 for the 11th Asian Game. It located in the north of Beijing and connected with the National Stadium, Birds Nest and Water Cube. From Beijing Capital International Airport to the center is only 25-35 minutes. It’s the closest and best sports training facility in the city. The center is completely build for use of sports teams, and many national teams such as basketball, volleyball, handball often use the training facilities there. The Football Park has 4 astroturf football pitches which will be used during the tournament. Swimming hall, Hockey Center, Baseball training are all in the center with a walking distance to each other. After the renovation from the 2008 Beijing Olympic, it ready for different sports teams from all over the world come to China.
