Subway

The subway is always a good way for travelling in Beijing. The system is developed---there a 9 different lines running at the moment, and by the year of 2015, a total 19 lines will be running in the city of Beijing. Subways are the fastest transportation in Beijing and they are a good way to avoid frequent traffic jams.

Taxi

Taking a taxi is the most convenient way for newcomers to travel around a metropolis like Beijing. There are over 70,000 taxis running in every corner of the city. Thanks to the 2008 Olympics, most of the taxi drivers can speak simple English, and they are always nice to passengers.
